ISPAH Congress 2018 secures WHO co-sponsorship

We are delighted to announce that the World Health Organization will be the official co-sponsor of the forthcoming ISPAH 2018 congress in London on 15-17 October. The recently launched WHO Global Action Plan on Physical Activity 2018-2030, More active people for a healthier world, calls on all countries to scale up the promotion of physical activity and provides updated guidance on effective and feasible policy actions to increase physical activity around a framework of four objectives: Active Societies; Active Environments; Active People and Active Systems. The recommended 'whole of system' approach to increasing levels of physical activity across all ages, and in particular the least active, as well as the need to share knowledge and best practice is at the heart of the ISPAH 2018 congress. PHE is delighted to collaborate with WHO as a valued official co-sponsor.
